Who Is This Guy?

A native Portlander, Isaac B. Watson is a touch-and-go (currently in a “go” phase) graphic design student at Portland State Unviersity. In addition to his studies, Isaac has worked as an in-house designer for a student organization and pays the bills with his job as a copy monkey for a national office and print services chain. He is a member of AIGA, and finds joy in perusing glossy design journals, contributing sporadically to the ever-bloating blogosphere, and encouraging the demise of Comic Sans as a typographic abomination.

In his spare time, Isaac has fallen in love with disassembling old, broken camera lenses and turning them into jewelry, which he sells at affordable prices to like-minded individuals. When he isn’t occupied with upcycling (it’s a new word the kids are using these days), he likes to carry his not-so-broken Canon AE-1 around and take photographs.

En bref, Isaac is a self-prescribed design nerd, typography critic, camera whore, grammar guru, and culinary creative all wrapped in a shamelessly egocentric yet deeply loyal shell. En plus, he occasionally dabbles in black market meerkat trading to French horticulturists for fun and profit.
